xennon bulb replacement

Hi all

Just a quickie really, I have a slight problem with my xennon bulb, which seems to go out/off after 30 secs of it being switched on..
then if I was to switch it off manualy from the stalk back to auto lights then it will come on and go off again, when it goes off i get the message on the display. do you guys think its a loose connection or do i need a replacement bulb??

audi dealers have quoted £154 + plus 1hr labour to take the unit out and fit

Have any of you had any of these issues? as a bit of advise would be much appreciated.

It's deffo ur bulb, it is trying to start but not fireing up completely, genuine bulb off eBay £65 and it is a pretty simple job to do the bulb, remove the plastic panel with the four bolts across the top then just three bolts to loosen off and one too remove then the hole unit pulls out, hope that helps
