hi... had anyone thought of using EGR cleaning spray as part of preventative maintenance? I'm more after 'can it do any harm' :)?

I've read some very positive feedback about it and just placed an order for one (awaiting delivery). Nothing wrong with my EGR though (so far)...

    Look fwd to your feedback.

It's the best in the market apparently, I used it on my Focus diesel.

    brief update...

I did try it yesterday and albeit having elements of reservation that it would 'do much' I'm really pleased with results... car is now lot more elastic/responsive at lower gear(s) and the typical intermittent irregular idle seems to have settled down a bit. Something i'd monitor over next couple of weeks is 'fuel consumption' and advise... not that it much matters to me but currently I get around 30-32mpg for very short journeys in London and doubt I would get much more out of 2.0TDI with M'tronic ;).

    More to follow...
