    For sure but you would need a 2.0 + GTX40 for 800bhp i think?

My GTX is rated to 600bhp and BTW its going to be fitted this weekend dave so i'll get the CR one to you asap

I must admit that a big 3.2 litre V6 isn't quite as impresive as a smaller four pot churning out big power, there is a mad Escort Cossie in Norway chucking out 1138 BHP and its still only a two litre, those Gatebil nutters know how to build a big power motor.

But a 6 cylinder engine will spin up a big turbo faster. It'll have a larger power band and make more torque throughout the rev range. I'm not knocking this escort, but I'd like to see the graph. It might well have nothing until 5000rpm or later.

As the old saying goes, no replacement for displacement (within reason).

As for the video, I never get bored of it.

Just because he swapped the motor doesn't mean it's not an s3. That car was clearly set up to go fast in a straight line, so the additional 200lbs over the nose is worth it for the power. In terms of making power the VR is superior, if you want a well balanced and better handling car the 1.8 is the way to go. Realistically there isn't too much of a downside to switching to the VR aside from gas mileage. You could make up most of the weight difference with a carbon hood, seats, wings, and battery relocation. Then your 30r would be hitting full boost at 3200-3500rpms.

You could push 800bhp with an hta86. You'd have to rev it out to 8200-8400 though for any type of a powerband.

What I am saying is a big power small engine has to be better engineered to produce the power, which I think is more impresive than a larger engine which has an easier time to do so, don't get me wrong I love a good V engine, as I have had several V6's and V8's myself and the noise they produce is wonderful. Its like the Dodge Viper, 8.3 litre V10 and still only 500BHP, pretty feeble don't you think?
