Would ARB cause dodgy handling?

Bottom line - my front ARB is knackered. The car is wallowy and pulls to the left. Also experiencing abnormal tyre wear - wearing out 1 inch only on the outer edge both sides.

The independant I went to said there is no way the problem is linked to the ARB even though it needs replacing. I thought the ARB was an integral part of the geometry set up? How can this not be affecting the handling characteristics?

It will effect the handling... simple as that!

What about the incredibly abnormal tyre wear/vehicle pulling business?

    Nope...won't affect that.

you can remove the ARBs if you want...and it'll still track true and wear tyres evenly...just roll a lot more.

Sounds like you have alignment issues. Have you thumped a big pothole or clipped a kerb?

I'd get the alignment checked first...

Ok fair enough. Corrobarates what the specialist said. I havent so much gone near a kirb. Bought the car, as soon as i got it onto open road, pulled to the left (brand new tyres on her btw). They are now bold as (replaced them) but only on outer edge. I told trader about it the next working day. Now its all in hands of TS, they are denying having the conv saying i kirbed it.

I'd go along with the alignment issue. When the ARB's go on these cars its usually the plastic bushes that crack off. The ARB will still stay in its place but it'll creak when moved.

Alignment won't really effect the wallowieness though...

    It's an S3.
That fact alone explains the wallowieness...
