Worth keeping my car?!?

Hey, I got an A4 1.8 R reg. It had done 266k miles and it runs like a beauty. Just recently put my car in the garage for a mot. Bad news , it need a new power steering rack kit which cost around £300. I think my car still got at least 2 years left to drive beautifully. Is it worth keeping my car or should consider buying another second-hand car??

I'm very tight on money. Any advice would be nice?

Hi,your car is a known quantity.£300 to keep it going for a year or more seems a good deal to me.

ya who knows if the next car you buy something else may be wrong or going wrong, sounds like you have a good car there. at least you know what your car is like.

is it £300 inc fitting, whats the price of the new part?

£300 is no biggy mate. If you're happy with the rest of the car it's a known quantity

Thanks for the advice everybody. I had taken it into consideration but I'm afraid I'm going to sell it by parts. Just spent 200 on a golf 1.9 tdi, mot till october and cheaper to run. My plan is to save as much as i can till october to buy a newer and better A4, I'm too attached to audi's. RIP to my first car.
