chrome mirrors... oh no i hear you say not that ol chestnut again. at the moment i have standard body coloured mirrors but i am in the process of tarting the ol girl up just fitted facelift rear lights, very nice subtle upgrade the car is azure blue with genuine rs4 alloys and an s3 plate.probably will invest in some aero wipers next but im in two minds about chrome mirrors most of my petrol head friends reckon it will realy make the car stand out a bit more but im not sure if this is too much bling what do you guys think.any pics of cars with chrome mirrors :photo:

They're a funny one, the old chrome mirrors. Personally, I wouldn't have them through choice on my car, but I think that they look great on the right car. The best thing about them IMO is that they're one of the most subtle yet obvious options you can have (does that even make sense?)

I mean, I see an awesome Audi and think "yeah, nice stuff" but if it's got the chrom mirrors you kinda know that the owner is the sort that goes that one step further for their car. If the car's nicely done up and looked after they totally set off the rest of the car.

The alloy mirrors seperate the 'S' cars from the 'A' cars, but since the in-pro items came out, everyone can get their hands on them, even chavvy Saxo owners! They are still a but of class on the Audi range imo, but not to everyones taste.

Not for me, thanks. Plus they seem to be succeptible to being nicked (and then being sold on eBay no doubt...)

I have them on mine, I like them. The car looks a bit dull without them, but I prefer the genuine ones. The aftermarket ones seem a bit too shiny.

wonder if we could get the in pro ones for around £30 again if we did a group buy?

The comment 'that the owner is the sort that goes that one step further for their car. If the car's nicely done up and looked after they totally set off the rest of the car' has made my mind up to get a set :)
