always a nail biter with old cars, and 144,000 on the clock

two advisories

corroded brake pipe at rear, I got that last year so need to fix it
bolt missing from downpipe to turbo manifold how did that happen? don't know if its snapped off or backed itself out, need to have look

smoke test was 0.2, allowance is something near 3 for this engine

tester is a good guy, doesn't actually put them on the system, just points them out to me

When I first got my A3 I had it looked at even though it was sold with a fresh mot, the guy came back and said your rear brake pipe is corroded and that's a fail!

Then again at my local garage I asked about it and they said because it's the rear they wouldn't fail it. Odd.

Well done though, always nice to have another years mot

I'm on pretty good terms with the mot tester, so he's not as OCD as he could be about little things, even put some air in one the tyres for me today

he knows I work on the car and will get it fixed.
