Will the Concert head unit fit in both Avant & Saloon?

Hi, I recently bought an A4 Avant 2.5 TDI with an aftermarket Sony head unit in it - and consequently no sound to the rear speakers!.
I'm looking at 2nd hand stock 'Concert' heads (as per original spec) and am unsure if there is a difference between the Avant & Saloon - or do they share the same unit (from the same version of course, B6/7 etc)

Anyone know for sure?

I would guess they would be identical.

If you can stretch the wallet a little, source a "double-din" cage and upgrade to the Symphony unit from the B7 A4.
I did the same on mine, the Symphony unit can be had for around £100 and the wiring adapters are around £40 from Kufatec.
The sound quality is in a different league compared to the B6 Concert/Symphony units, plus you can play MP3 cds!
