    hi guys

    i have a 2000 1.8t with 19" RS6 replicas on it.

I am thinking of upgrading it in for a 4.2 tiptronic but I'm notsure if the alloys will go straight on.
I got told some time back that replica alloys will not fit on the RS6 (i guess due to the brakes) but will I have any probs putting my replicas on a 4.2 tiptronic as i know it does share some parts to the RS6.

    any help?
    thanks

i've had a think about this and could the compatibility issues be to do with the width of the alloy? my replicas are 8J and i think originals are 9J?

does this mean my 8J replicas will be fine but need a spacer when i put them on a 4.2 with the wider arches?

can anyone shed any light as I don't want to get a wheel refurb done and then have to buy original 19's and new tyres when I buy the 4.2.......

    thanks

the 8j you refer to is the width of the wheel ie 8 inches, i imagine they will fit fine and you need to up on the tyre size on the 19's cos u'll need more tyre/grip for the 4.2
Also if the 4.2 has 9 inch wide wheels as standard u may want to get wider 19's.
