will it affect my warranty?

    right i have chosen what alloys im going to get..... i think :laugh: once ive got them i will want it dropping 30mm ish, will this make my audi warranty void if any work needs doing to my car? do i/should i tell audi what ive done? cheeers

    Well if you're car is a 53 plate surely you don't have no worry issues? Unless you're talking paintwork warranty, in which case I doubt Audi will worry about wheels.

    I imagine some dealers will have a problem with it, if for example you suffered a shock absorber failure then they might be funny about lowering springs. However if your warranty issue is not suspension related then I cant see it being a problem.

    I wouldnt say a word, chances of them noticing are pretty slim I would think!

    when i brought the car in december (06) i was given a years warranty from audi which covers me for everything including suspension, exept general wear and tear of course brake pads tyres etc

    Well I have changed my wheels+ lowered and mine has another year and a half's warranty. I think you don't have to worry about it as say something goes wrong with your engine, they can hardly turn round and tell you to bog off because your car was lowered, it has nothing to do with it.

    very true, the lowering wont be for a while yet anyway got to buy the alloys 1st.

    Wouldn't it be easier just to ask the warranty company instead? :ermm:

    yes i had thought of that but i didnt want to go into a long process of finding out from audi etc so being a member of an audi forum i thought it would be easier 2 find out here 1st :icon_thumright:
