I've got a 96 1.8 manuel petrol and i bought 40mm lowering springs. The back of the car sits lower than the front so i need to drop it 60mm-40mm. I've been offered some 60mm springs off a 99 1.8t avant, will these fit?

Yep, may not drop the back as much due to the avant springs having a higher spring rate on the rear, front are fine assuming they both from manual 1.8s with aircon

yes they are both from manuals but the avant had air con and mine doesn't. Will this make a visible difference?

    will mean it lowers less.

Its probably why your current springs arent even anyway though, they'll be designed for a car with aircon.
