Will a washing machine fit in A4 saloon boot?

Hi everyone,

I know this is a daft question but will I be able to fit a standard sized washing machine into my A4 saloon boot. My mate has asked me to pick it up with him and I don't think it'll go, has anyone tried out there?

probably not mate!
i have an avant and we only just managed to get one in it, sideways, without touching the glass!
we did not flip the seats though! do your rear seats flip?
if they do try it, but if not i would not even bother! you will just get your boot drenched with water!

Cheers Chez, my seats do flip but definitely don't want to risk getting my car flooded with water!

ours was a new machine and was still full of water from testing in the factory, so a used one will have more in i guess

You may gettin on the back seat or even try taking the lower bench out for more room and secure the washing machine to the rear head rests !

haha , don't think I've ever seen this question before !

I reckon no.... even an old 22" CRT TV wouldn't go through our boot opening - but did get it in via the rear door - then into the boot !!
