will a set of 2002 chrome mirrors fit on my 2000 model

Hey everyone! was just wondering if a set of 2002 chrome mirrors would fit on my 2000 model S3?

If it is a facelift it will. If not they won't as screws are in a different place.

How do you tell the difference?

Do you have a cupholder? Clear back lights? One piece headlights? If yes you have a facelift.

I've got no cupholder and 2 piece headlights! So does that mean they wont fit? Damn! !!

You could get the Inpro ones as they do pre facelift.

Or you could get the complete mirror assembly from Germany. I found the ones with folding mirrors were looser and moved a bit up and down so avoid them. On the set I had the wiring to the motors were different so if you pushed up it went left or something like that.

I seem to remember someone modifying a facelift mirror to fit a pre facelift before.
