will a mk4 golf 1.8t cat back system fit a3 1.8t?

    It will fit but will require some cutting as the golf is a bit longer than the a3. But thats the only difference between the golf and a3 iirc... anyone else back it up?

    I thought it was a straight fit? Some mk4 golfs need the chassis cutting to fit on some exhausts. Didn't have this with my golf though

    Fits just fine.

    The golf is no longer than the A3 at all, it's the same floorpan.

    The only difference worth noting, is that if it's a visable tail pipe, the A3 rear panel will need a tiny trim to let the golf tail pipes right correctly.

    Generally, A3 tailpipes dip down below the bumper and look ****, where golf tail pipes go out straight from the box and look far better, but require a 5 minute trim that anyone can do easily.
