Will 35mm offset wheels fit on the S3?

Discussion in 'A3/S3 Forum (8L Chassis)' started by imported_Stewart, Mar 6, 2005.

  1. I have my old 8x18 (35mm offset) alloys...

I realise they probably will fit but what size spacer would i need to fill the arches perfectly?

Stewart, I am running 8.5x19" RS6's with ET30mm offset and have 15mm (rear) and 10mm (front) spacers, and the wheels sit perfectly, no fouling or protruding the arches.

ET30 and 10mm spacers would mean ET20, that's got to be close up front Cage, what tyres are you running mate? same as me - 235/35R19??

Yes I am running 235/35/19 tryes, I will be going 245/35/19 on rears soon.

I'm not sure running 245s on the rear is a good idea, it would ruin the handling, but if it's for looks then why not. I think 255/30R19 is a better bet to keep the rolling radius similar to the fronts, but I avoided using different size tyre F/R to avoid any issues with the haldex system.
