why large bore intakes such as B5 one work... on IHI's also 55g/s gains

    Car in question came in with an ihi vf34 turbo kit on it, done by a.n.other company.

    .. started addressing the TIP..

    As it arrived, remembering it was previously a k03 tip with glued on silicon to upsize it to the vf34's much larger intake..

    Current airflows with badger 5 made 3" intake is 274g/s @ 7000rpm @1.4bar boost

    55g/s gains!!

    Wow that's impressive £ per bhp that has to be one of the best mods available. Just goes to show what having the right additions to a BT makes!

    the other side of the coin is not to restrict an IHI turbo by impeding its flow by sticking a TIP for a k03 onto it.. which when you say it out loud, is pretty silly. Why would someone do that?
