Why don't Audi service people ever listen !!!

    Hi all took my 2011 s3 in to Audi with a couple of minor things.

    DSG gone into neutral 3 times in last few months

    Slight nocking at from end

    And the usual front windows squeak.

    Ask them no fewer than 5 times not to wash the car ( had it detailed by Jim white in October ) so who can guess what they did ?
    correct they washed it !!!

    now I'm a little OCD as they say and like to follow a good wash routine.

    now I'm not sure what they will have sprayed all over the car but I can bet it's not P H neutral wheels have white streakes over them would traffic film remover remove much wax and wheel sealant.
    not to mention how many nice new swirls ill have tomorrow.

    they said they will call to me tomorrow after I have chance to check for damage.

    last rant they never found any faults but did manage to do 23 miles !! Sounds more like a joyride than test drive.

    My Audi Dealer asks me if I want it washed when I take to them to get work done. You'd think it would be common practise!

    When I booked it in they offerd to wash which I declined was told it would be noted on job card, got there meet by tech guy had chat asked once more please no washing he wrote on top of job card don't wash !!
    was then handed over to service lady who said how many times does it say not to wash on this job card!!
    which led to a conversation about why I didn't want a wash.

    i have to take my A3 black ed in tomorrow as the driver side window wont go down :(. i usally try and get it looking all shiny when i take it in. as it have been commented on by the sales guy that soldme the car that my car looks 10 times better than a new one. hehe.
    but i havnt had a chance to wash it this time. lets see if they wash it. if soo nice bill for audi to fix all those fresh swirls.

    Thats why I send mine in with the car practically empty! Plus in valet mode via the SPS switch :)

    They haven't yet mentioned it doesn't go above 3000rpm yet :D not sure whether that's a good thing actually.... Ha

    3 times mine has been in and every time it's been washed when I asked them not to.
    Some guy who doesn't care with a sponge full of grit! Grr!
    If its in again and it gets washed I'm wanting to speak to the manager.
    Mine is white though so not as bad but I'd hate to put a dark car in, swirl mark tastic!
    Useless buggers.

    why not print off a dont wash sign and stick it on the dash pretty sure theyd at least ask when they saw that

    Next time walk round to the back of the workshop or to the wash bay and have a word with the lads directly and just ask them not to wash your car.

    Just had a cal from dealers great news they are happy to pay for my car to have the winter protection redone by Jim white at whites details.

    Thats great news, I am with you on the whole washing thing, nothing matches up to Jim's detailing!!

    Well just got my car back and guess what it's been washed when I said don't wash. They Evan wrote it a few times on the job card. I don't know the extent yet I'm going to wash it myself tomorrow to find what damage there is. It's covered in dirty water marks from a chamois at the moment. I'm not happy. Lets see what happens tomorrow

    That's not good buddy just make sure you get it in documented that they will pay.
    hope you get sorted.
    If only they would just listen !!

    The service manager phoned and organised the correction with the company I chose. We'd 13th feb it's booked in. Il post after picks once complete.

    Well done how much will it cost. They did it to mine last June after I told them not to wash it! But I didn't tell them at the time I'm gutted
