Hello I've recently been getting a clooud of white smoke from my car after i turn it off to get it out of limp mode. My car is a 1.9tdi awx I've had a intermittent limp mode problem for a few month now which I think is down to my boost pipes and inter cooler been shot so I've just been turning the car off and back on and it goes away. I am currently in the process of having new custom hard pipes made and have my front mount fitted just not plumbed in yet. I have only had this recent problem since it was serviced a week and a half ago could it be linked I have also had suspicions on maybe Incorrect oil but I doubt as I use an Audi VW specialists which leaves me with my other suspicion turbo seals. Could anyone give a bit of help on my situation it would be greatly appreciated one more thing when I've had faults read it says something about boost sensor or something could this be a culprit also.

The white smoke could also be caused by over fueling, unburnt fuel in the exhaust but equally it could be the turbo. If it was the turbo seals it would smoke constantly though.

Hello thanks for the reply the smoke isn't constant that I've noticed just when I'm turning it off and back on I have noticed the oil level is quite high on the dip stick its on the top notch .

Try blanking the egr, £3 fix from eBay, I had plumes of smoke coming from mine with no power at all, slapped in the egr blank plate, used a bit of silicone hose on the egr vacuum inlet and blanked the vacuum pipe off with a thick bolt, same on the inlet.

Smoke gone and loads of power!

Thanks for the advice but I all ready have a allard egr delete fitted .
