Whistling?!

Hi all,

Bit of advice needed please...

I have recently noticed a whistling noise - noticable when going over 70mph, however you can sometimes hear it when accelerating whatever the speed.... it sounds like it is coming from the bonnet

I thought it may have been down to the recent clifford alarm I got fitted i.e air coming through the bonnet and blowing into the siren, but thats just an inklin!!

Any ideas????

it might be the turbo what your describing is that your turbo is about to go

oh cr@p! will it be covered under warranty?

what can be done to prevent it from going...

i put a brand new turbo into a 1.8T and it whistled a bit so dont panic yet mate.

its just effin annoyin on the mway!!!

i got extended warranty and i think turbos covered.... is there any way i can blag a new one?!

all turbo whistle abit when they at work but if its that loud then its signs of turbo about to go but you have loads of time is like the clutch when u feel it first then it gives u couple of weeks then it gets worse as with turbo the car wont go far
