Which oil

    Sorry to sound daft but I have checked my manual, but cannot find what spec oil I need.

    i have a 1.9tdi 130.

    For some reason I have 5w30 in my head?

    any one tell me the correct oil to use?

    Not just any 5/30 make sure its meets the vag spec

    I use 5W40 fully synthetic from Europarts or Car parts for less which is recommended for PD engines (mine's the PD 130 as well) and it's only about £30 for 5 litres.

    I use 5w30. Didnt know you could use 5w40
    Surely the 5w40 is thicker and will take longer to react all the engine

    I use Castrol Edge and find this very good, need to search around for the best deal (google :yes:)

    If you read the manual there is a different range of viscosity you can use

    Yeah I have seen them, lets hope the oil will state what viscosity it is!

    I used Platinum 5w40 bought from TPS, which was recommended for fixed service intervals, Just under £20 for 5litres if i remember rightly,
