which coils?

slamming the a3 s line, wots the best coilovers? any experiences? im planning to go really low so need really good coilovers, £700 is probably the max id spend on it

I have the KW v2s cost 800 though but rides the same if not better than the s line. If you have a quattro you wont be able to slam it as the shafts rub

KW are basically FK

FK sell a lot more coilovers than KW and KW buy parts from FK since they are mass produced

I went for FK highsport because previously i had dampening adjustable coilovers and i felt they didnt make much difference

with the FK range you get:

Highsport - height adjustable only (kw v1's)
Konigsport - i think height AND dampening adjustable
Silverline - stainless steel height adjustables (kw v2's)
Silverline X - SS height and dampening adjustables (kw v3's)

i think thats right

highsports can be got from £430 (what i paid for my a3 sport)

konigs i think are £530 and maybe up to £800 for the top of the range

personally id go for FK - i have heard only 100% feedback from this supplier

contact Venom Motorsport - google them - they are the main FK distributor for the UK and will have them for the a3 very quickly (mine took 5 working days)

I updated my suspension with Koni coilovers and Neuspeed rear swaybar. I'll be taking the car to the track this coming weekend.


paid $922 on sale for the coils shipped.
