the TSR tubular manifold seems to work well... check StaceyS3's build thread for some ideas on that... I don't know what your planned budget is but for a reliable 400hp it won't come cheap

Have you a budget in mind?

Yeh iv sent a message over to stacey about that thread, im still reading through it!, im not sure really ino its a couple grand, like im ordering the rods kit next week. Then i was thinking : large port head/mani , injectors , custom tip an dp , supertech exhaust valves, piston rings, and a wellycooler insted of my forge one. Anythin else youd reccormend? Thankyou

Manifold, turbo, custom downpipe etc will see you a couple of grand at least... supertech valve train will be best part of a grand by the time you have got a large port head and had it sorted with new guides etc, gaskets and seals etc will stand you a couple of hundred, mapping of course...

Inline fuel pump is a must at this power level and you would also be best looking at getting an inlet manifold too...

I have no idea how much I have spent but 4 to 5 grand sounds more realistic if you are doing the work yourself

Clutch and flywheel will probably need to go on the list

You want the valve springs ideally as you won't be able to take the revs up high enough... std valve train should be ok for the occasional excursion to 7.5k but for reliability then a full setup is needed... std exhaust valves are sodium filled, supertech are inconel... guides will need looking at on whatever head you use as these wear and cause issues...

Obviously there are others that have done this power level without doing supertechs but I can't see the point in just changing the exhaust valves... you can always do it at a later date of course and detune the setup to suit until you can afford it... this is what I did..

THE best thing about going in tufftys car is not the sheer stupid speed, but the sense of naughtiness watching the rev counter sail straight off the end of the clocks round to nearly 8k :)

big turbos like to rev :)
