Hi guys,

Considering getting some new whelks for the TDI but I can't seem to get my head around the width/offset thing!! So I thought I'd just come right out and ask if the specific wheels I want will fit; they are -

18" 8.5j ET42 (front)
18" 9.5j ET40 (rear)

??

if the rears are too much will the same 8.5j front and rear work?

cheers...and sorry this has probably been covered a million times,
gary.

8.5J will stick out an extra 25mm with 1mm less inner clearance.
9.5J will stick out an extra 39mm with 11mm less inner clearance.

I'm far from a fountain of knowledge on the subject but I think the 9.5J's are out the window.
