Ive asked my boss about me making alloy wheel spacers for S3's amongst other cars.
They will be CNC machined and of high quality,
If people will be intrested could they let me know? Im asking now, In advance as i dont realy want to buy alloy and not use it .
    What thickness would people want?
Im running 5mm on the front and 15mm on the rear,

Will they be hub centric and wheel centric? Or either or neither?
    Thanks

They will be hubcentric and wheelcentric .
As for the price i will need to speek to our supliers regarding the material.
Ive got a couple of sets of wheel adapters around too that i aim to draw up on CAD and maybe make those too...
But first things first, i will try and get back to you all tommorow about the price and time scale for this all to happen.

I am very interested but depending on price because I have seen anodised sets of 4 on eBay for £100 including bolts!

It's this guy selling them but I cant find them on ebay at the moment, they're bookmarked on my work computer:

    http://www.pwmotorsport.com/Catalogue.aspx?cId=15&pId=61#Catalog1

I would be interested in 20mm rear 13mm front

I'm only showing you what's already out there mate. I'm sure you would make a tidy sum just off of the 8L guys on this forum if you were to start producing them.

Yes, that was me. I saw they had sets of 4x10mm and sets of 4x15mm so I just phoned them and they did me 2x10mm and 2x15mm for £100. They do make the car look a lot better (to the trained eye!).

Edit: I have a mate with a B7 who is looking for spacers, would you be doing ones to fit? If so i'll get him on here...

Ive had a busy day with a rush job i had to do so i havent had a chance to ring the supliers.
    I will first thing tomorrow.
I think the bolts ive got on my car cost something like £2 each from a local alloy wheel shop
Im not looking to make a mint. Just cover the costs plus a little money towards the V power
In responce to the other audi fitment... are they 5x112 pcd? if so then yes i plan to include 5x100 and 5x 112 ( like the forge ones)

I'd be intrested in some of these 10mm fronts and 15mm rears depending on price.
Regarding anodising if anyone wants this doing i can get this done VERY cheaply as my old man is a maintenance engineer for a place called acorn surface technologies where they do anodising amongst other treatments like ivodising, chrome plating etc. He did some parts for a mates motorbike in electric blue, looked sweet.

It protects the metal from corrosion.

Stops the alloy from corroding and looks pretty depending on the colour, although the hard black would probably be best for this use.
Next time you go in a BT phone box try and scratch off the black coating on the phone box frame, trust me its very tough and scratch resistant. All phone box frames are done at his factory, millions of the things, makes you wonder where they all go to.

Ditto, I'd like some of these too; hubcentric and anodised (15mm back and 10mm at the front).
I am sure most people are all thinking the same question. i.e. costs?
S3 Paul - If you can achieve this and beat the competition (whilst I appreciate making some money for yourself) then I imagine that this would be a good time to suggest a sticky?
Paul - we await your response.

I'd be interested but obviously cost is the big question!! 10mm fronts and 15mm rear. I think the front looks good but the rear wheels are too far into the arches.

Just to clarify will it be 10mm and 15mm per side giving total track of 20mm front and 30mm rear?

Why are people just stopping at 10mm and 15mm? S3Hoggy has got 13mm and 20mm and his car looks the mutts. He has also confirmed that he hasn't got any stone chips as a result and the arches are propperly filled. :)

I dont know mate, I was going with the flow... I have heard that if you go to far then the added load on the bolts can shear them off. Might be BS if it is I would happily go further, I like the look of a wide track

If the spacers are hubcentric then there shouldn't be excesive weight on the bolts, also we're talking about 5 bolts shearing!

I was looking at my rear wheels and thining that 15mm each side is still just not enough, 20mm looks spot on as long as you dont have wheels with a wide offset.

Fair enough, i wouldn't know either way, i was just giving my reasons. Also, wondering, as i have 17" rims, if spacers would highlight their lack of size. I would rather have a wheel that filled the wheel arch a bit more

I did ask the same question a few months back and some pictures were posted up and they looked fine mate. I'm also running standard wheels.
