I've bought a set of 8.5 x 19, 35 offset wheels for my otherwise standard S3. Does anyone know if I'll need spacers for these and if so what size would suit? Sorry if this a daft question but I haven't got a clue when it comes to things like this . Thanks in advance.

hi mate. Personally I think any 8.5 wheel would benefit from spacers, s3 wheel arch seems to swallow up alloys in my experience. I have 18x8 rims with 20mm spacer all round and it really improves the stance of the car ALOT. Wheels don't sit perfectly in the arch but definitely a massive improvement over no spacers at all, I think 20mm is prob too much for the front on 8.5 but prob get away with it on the rear. 10mm all round would be a safe bet.

Thanks Sam, just what I needed. It wasn't the cosmetics I was worried about so much as clearances etc. 10mm it is then. Thanks again.
