Have seen set of second hand wheels for my S3 that seem like a good buy but need to check one or two things with your guys.

Is the S3 5x100pcd and what is the correct offset for 8.5" wide wheels (8.5" x 18" wheels with 225/40/18 tyres) ?

TBH I'm not sure about putting 8.5" wide wheels on the car as I think it's getting a bit wide but they are light.

    Thoughts anyone ???

    TIA

et 32 is what the std wheels are ( I think) and most reps are et35.

The S3 is 5x100 PCD. Most aftermarket wheels have an offset of ET35. You will be fine with a width of 8.5" although 8" would be better for handling.

    Tyre sizes are as follows:

    225/45/17
    225/40/18
    235/35/19

Exactly... they are an option... not standard fit!

In my opinion, an S3 alloy is a 17" Avus wheel.

Didn't GLen have those wheels? And he ran the brembo brakes, though with spacers.

18/35/235 will fit more squarely than the 18 40 225 which will lose rim protectors on 8.5''s like mine did..
