My 19" RSTTs are due a refurb, so I need some cheap wheels to stick on for a few days whilst they're being re sprayed, I guess my best bet is some cheap Steelers from another vw/Audi, but I dont know how small I can go!

Seen some Vw transporter 16" steelies that might do the job? The discs are 312mm

    Any help appreciated!

over standard 312s, 16" will go over, but you need to the correct offset to clear the calipers from the spokes part of the wheel/alloy.

the 16" a3 sport alloys fit over 312mm. just a tiny gap between the caliper and stick on weights.

Thanks for all your help, so I guess a cheap set of a3 17s will be best. Wasn't looking to spend a lot on them, but I spose I can always sell them on after.

Does anyone know if there are any steelies that are suitable?

Cheapest option will be some stock A3 turbo 16's. As Jay showed above they fit over just fine. tend to go for £50 for a full set

I'm not looking to sell them, but if you were just round the corner which you're not unfortunately, I wouldn't have minded loaning them for a week.

Correct, it is also factually correct. EBC themselves released a statement saying that the glue holding the compound to the backings wasn't good enough for the weight of our cars. After SEVERAL (or which I personally know of two) cars ripped the material clean off the backings and left the users brakeless and with ruined discs and pads.

You have been on here long enough, surely you know I don't just say things for the fun of it.

I've had EBC pads fail and come off the backing, that was 'green stuff' on a std A3 1.8T - fortunately it was the rear brakes.

I googled and there's a lot of forum talk about pads failing - on bikes too.
