Is its just the k04 turbo?
Mostly just the turbo and the ECU mapping iirc. Quite a rare combination FWD and 190 BHP
so the 160bhp version already has uprated internals?
might also be worth checking if the clutches are vastly different... I know that's the biggest prob on the lower spec 1.9TDI's
190's don't have a K04 turbo it's a K03 but I understand it may be different to the K03 on the 163's as there are many variations of the K03. It has twin intercoolers as well which I don't think the 163's have.
190's have a different spec K03 turbo refered to as a K03s and is the biggest K03 out of all the K03's ever made.
190's also have bigger injectors and a duel side maount intercooler.
doc - any idea what the intercooler/turbo setup is on the V6 Quattro TDI's?

cool - that explains the ducting on the honeycomb grills up the side ot the intercoolers... I'd assumed as much, but wanted to check

any idea on the cost of fitting the 190 injectors to the 160 version?
Not got a clue on even sure what size they are but for you you may just want to jump straight to 380cc TT injectors.
wonder why they would make twin exit and twin entry SMIC's?
