whats the difference between 3l tdi (204) & tdv (233 or whatever) ????

apart from the obviouse bhp, is it just a remap or mechanical difference?

there was a post on this the other week i think the 233 has diesel particulate filter and proberbley mapped for more power but no mechanical difference
