What's the best size Tyres I should go with these 18's I'm getting tomorrow ?
isn't that tyre size to Fat from alloy to outside ? I want it to look like this:
Well they come with 225/40/18 from the factory....
I'd stick with what came from factory so as not to alter the rolling circumference and speedo accuracy
How about if I go : 225/35/18 .....Would that be cool ?
That would disturb the rolling circumference... if you want it looking stretched then go for 215/40/18!
are they 7.5J? if so, 225/40/18.
why do you want a smaller profile? means a harsher ride, more chance of damage to tyre * rim from pot hoes and worse of all more arch gap?
Well I was going for 225/35/19's on my 19's ....but decided to get some cheaper 18's .......I just want them to look like 19's...
In that case, higher the suspension to create a larger gap between tyre and arch
Strange ....but it's probably me....I would of thought the 19's would of gone 40 instead of 35....and 18's 35 instead of 40.
Oh well.....40 it is then.....
Strange ..lol I would Of thouth of lowering it to make it look like 19's ...
If they are 7.5J 225/40/18 is the best tyre size for them
225/40 are the best tyre for 18's
Clearly someone hasn't seen an un-lowered car on 19s!
You wanna have another look at those pics of my car with 18's on it, and then compare it to previous pics now having 19's - I'm looking people on the upper deck off buses in the eye!!!
PS. I always had 225/40/18 on all my 18's cars - that tyre wall is a good size for cleaning
an unlowered car on 19s

Where have you managed to get the alloys from... would love a set
They're very tasty alloys indeed I'm looking to have mine coated black with the red lip like the RS3
