what you can really do with a stock turbo..

its making 250hp...

All the spastic yanks are going on about wheel power, and the plot clearly states "Eng Power".

Plus hes using a transverse K03s, which is pretty similar to the turbo on the B6-190 (k03-073) and quite a bit bigger than our stock crappy turbo, and 250hp out of one of those while pushing it isnt all that unrealistic?

despite what the sheet says it is making 250hp at the wheels according to the thread and the video. He would be flamed to bits if he was getting excited about 250 at the crank as there are million "stage 3" Gti's in the US running over 250bhp at the crank

Well he can "prove" it with paper all he wants, its physically impossible to get 300 crank horsepower from a compressor that small.

You've looked into turbos enough to be able to recognise complete tosh when you see it mate... Theres no magic formula that will let you extract more power than a turbo is capable of flowing.

Well, I found that thread a bit sobering as well. But he works for a tuning company and I'm sure he can differentiate between crank and wheel horsepower. Mind you, he is using water/meth injection and 94 octane fuel. So that's a bit of a cheat.

enough of a cheat to let the turbo flow an extra 50hps worth of air?

plus the "94 octane", is actually 94 AKI, which is the same as the 98 octane fuel you'd buy in the UK, and TBH everyone in the UK with a heavily tuned car will be running 98octane fuel, or perhaps even 99 if they can get it.
