On the 1.9 TDI 130.
What would happen if someone had fitted crap vacuum hose from the vacuum pump to the collection of valves and what not down the front of the engine. I.E N75 valves and what not.

Would this cause crap mpg?

What do you mean by crap?

If they are just cheap but do the job then no problem

But if the collapse under vacuum then they are useless

Not sure on the mpg side though but I think you may notice a lack of boost from the turbo

Power is still pretty good. This one was CRAP it had fully sucked its self closed.

Sorted now. We were barely getting 48mpg on the M6 at 70mph. My 2.5 quattro can get 46.

Hmmm think I should check my motor out I get around 45mpg at 70! Although normal driving round town I can average 42 but at 60 I get 58mpg!

The mrs using it to and from work every day on the A65 is getting 52ish.
