what to look out for?

Been reading through lots of threads for various things to check on these cars, been to see a few A3's and test drove them.

With my budget the A4 is now looking like a better option as you do get alot more car for your money! Going to look / test drive one o weds, 55 plate, 140 S-line on 91k, FASH. Been advised to watch out for the flywheel / clutch, do they suffer with similar problems with the aircon fans or cyclinder head issues?

Any advise would be great

check the engine code, it will be on the log book/chassis number or even the hpi check will have it, avoid it if the the code start with BLB as thay have oil pump problems, thay are driven on a chain were as the chain can fail and cause a mega expense. this issue only seems to be on the 2005 models were as audi chainged it in 2006

The engine code is BRE
