What to do with a Concert II Stereo?

    Hi All,

    Done a bit of searching and found various bits of info...

    basically I have a Concert II stereo... pretty bog standard....Single CD Player...Radio and Radio info pipes through to the DIS....

    I would like to upgrade it but not spend thousands.... (IE can't really afford a double din dash conversion for nice standard sat nav!)

    but keep it all standard...

    From what I have read its possible to get a Denison add on for the back of the stereo that adds MP3 functionality via USB stick?

    Is that all that's possible keeping things standard?

    I've just fitted a sound links box which is similar to the Denison, which allows me to use my iPhone through the stereo. I am extremely pleased with it, I was using a Belkin FM transmitter which was good but the sound quality is sooooo much better through the sound links.
    Only took about 10 minutes to fit, pretty much plug and play.

    Where did you get this mate?

    And does it show things on the DIS display?

    i looked at the Dension Gateway 100 which is similar item to the Sound Links and it was £198. I am sure the Dension item is better quality but for the money (over £100 cheaper) the sound links will do for me. You can spend up to £500 on the Dension stuff.

    I fitted the xcarlink to mine. Again took about 10 mins. An all controls are through stereo/steering wheel.

    No info of DIS beside track numbers again

    Looks like Xlink is best option for ease...

    Can I ask if you routed the Xlink into the glove box? Where have you put the box for the xlink?

    I also like the idea of the Xlink with Bluetooth too, so I can make and receive calls.

    In terms of Dension - from what I can see, if I want the phone module, you can only have that if you have the Phone button on your steering wheel!
