what should happen when i unplug my MAF?

Phew, give it a chance mate!!

What car do you have, do you have anymore background with regards to the question??

Bump.anyone with the knowledge?

Give people a chance to reply!

Why are you going round unplugging things anyway? Is there an underlying problem with the car? Have you had a fault scan if Q2 is yes?

Yes tgere is a problem with my idle.cleaned Nd rest tb.all pipes are ok.revs are bouncing and wont settle.im wondering if my maf is goosed.no eml lights or anything shown up as well.cheers.any help would be great guys.

If things don't improve when the MAF is disconnected then it's not at fault. What was the car scanned with? When was it last serviced? Spark plugs? Coil packs? and so on.

So can i drive it with it unplugged?will it stall or owt?also its ht leads not coil packs and serviced about 3 weeks ago.this idle problem has just happened in the last week or so.its annoying mate.

You'll just use more petrol as the ECU uses a default setting if the MAF/AMM has been unplugged or detects an open circuit.

What was the car scanned with?

Bump hurry up dazza
