    soon i may have £400 to spend on my standard 1.8tsq would you buy
    a)milltek exhaust (star performance) £399
    b)remap (star performance) £400
    or
    c)something else?

    If it were me and all servicing were up to date etc, i would get it remapped, then save for the intake/exhaust next, followed by coilovers and brakes

    I would get it remapped after an exhaust and intake. That way the remap will include the exhaust an intake to get maximum power.

    Stock brakes will be able to handle a chip easy.

    Remap it and my I add your not a million miles away from us so if you wanted it done I'm sure we could oblige! You'd be looking at +30-35bhp and +65ft/lb!

    star remap is a generic one so any intake and exhasut changes won't affect it anyway.
