What Oil do you use?

I am going to be servicing my 1.8t soon including dropping the sump to clean the pick up pipe, I have always used castrol edge and have no complaints apart from price. I am now swaying towards using quantum, It is OEM after all and is at a great price, How do you all rate it? and what do you use?

5/40 Fully Synth QX Meets VAG spec Not approved tho (eurocarparts) Cheap and got a free Bosch filter too! Ive noticed a hell of a lot of garages that used to have the drums of quantum now have QX and if German auto care use it (specialist) then it gets my vote

We use triple QX at work I hear its made by shell

This all day long.

Every VAG specialist garage that I have been to swears by it and that is what the majority of us use on here- all with no issues.

(I serviced my car the other month and used the search bar at the top right top to remind me what people were running ;-) )

+1 to the Fully Synthetic 5w40, I use Quantum Platinum 5w40 from TPS, 5L cost me ~£30 today as they don't give me discount anymore ;(

I use Halfords 5w40 and drop it every 2.5k now - only do 6k a year.

Quantum it is so. No TPS over here so Ill head to my local VW garage to buy the bits.

Winter - Mobil Super 3000 5W40

Changing after 7000km.

Very satisfied with these oils.
