    im guessing low 20mpg.

Took a 150 mile trip to York a few weeks ago, driving like a fanny I got around 400 miles out a full tank which cost £85

I wish I'd ever managed to get 400 out of a full tank, most I've managed is 380 on a steady run to Essex, worked out about 29 mpg

I didn't think the 1.8 was that thirsty. My 2.4 v6 gives me 24 mpg average and aboutn 340 miles on a tank.

Been an oil burner for many years now basically for the better fuel figures and torqey driving style. If I went petrol now I would do a lgp conversion on a six pot.

Anyone running a lgp on a 1.8t,2.0 or 3.0 litre?

I had the 150bhp version of the 1.8T running 221bhp courtesy of r-tech and I found it to be very economical for a petrol turbo, when I changed it for an astra vxr (2.0T) my fuel bill went up by 50% and then I changed for s3 8p and it went up by about 20% again, most weeks I spend about twice what I did in fuel on the 1.8t doing the same journeys ! That being said it doesn't produce nearly as much torque as either vxr or s3 8p

My overall average is 31mpg, but on my 8 mile daily commute I get into the very early 40's

Fully loaded our avant 190 s line q gives us 32-33 on the motorway, can't quite get 400 miles out of a tank,

seriously? how can you get mpg into the 40's whats the secret?

we had a mk4 r32 before our current 1.8t and my wife only does 10 miles a day and the mpg is down at the mid twentys which is starting to get a bit frustrating considering the r32 was regularly around the 31 mark for the same journey.

does anyone have experience of the mpg increasing greatly on these with a map?

Mid twentys is abit low but short journeys constantly always make for less mpg! Is the car modded at all jamie p?

it only has a milltek exhaust fitted apart from that its totally standard engine wise, just a bit dissapointed really because apart from the higher fuel consumption my wife and i love the car

Jamie p try putting a panel filter in either k&n or pipercross as your car will benifit from breathing easier!
