i want to get a better dump valve, just had to pay £800 on insurance this month so haven't got alot of cash spare at the moment.

anyone got/know anyone what uses this dump valve

May I ask why you are planning to upgrade? Performance or looks?

If on a budget, stick an OEM one on for the time being. It functions perfectly well and will do the job. They just don't have the longevity of the Forge 007P, but will give you a chance to get cash together.

The OEM Bosch DV is about £23 IIRC.

i got the 150BHP 1.8T. looking to try and hit 200BHP or more depending on cash flow.

upgraded panel filter and fitted better air intake, also going to fit FMIC, booking in for remap asap


been looking at a few sites, says stage 1. upgrade, filter, dump valve and remap

You'll struggle to hit a realistic 200 bhp with the K03-011 turbo thats on that motor - BUT - you will get close.

With supporting mods you should see around the 190 mark. It's the driveability that's most improved, a night and day difference in fact.

The standard DV will be OK as a stop gap if yours is in reasonable nick. A 007P won't make your performance any better anyway, so save the pennies for now and get the thing that really matter.

Add a 3" downpipe to your shopping list. One of the best mods for the 1.8T bang for buck IMO. You can pick these up for about £90 on ebay delivered if you look, but here is one on auction: GOLF BORA BEETLE A3 TT LEON OCTAVIA EXHAUST DECAT PIPE on eBay (end time 06-Oct-10 20:13:37 BST)
