What is the Standard Brake Fluid in a 2003 A4 B6 1.9 TDi?

Hi there,

Just a quickie - is the standard brake fluid in my 2003 Audi A4 B6 1.9 TDi DOT4 fluid or is it DOT4.1?

I need to top up the fluid a little and I have some DOT5.1 at home.. would putting some of that in on top of the existing fluid cause a problem? In other words, will it just mix and be ok or will it react and cause a problem?

If I do need to get some new fluid, do I need a certain brand or cert spec fluid?
