The fact they are reps doesn't really bother me to be honest, more the fact they are next to worthless, but im getting them refurbed in anthracite after a few people put up pictures of theirs a few days back. all 4 tyres have lots of tread left so would be a waste trading these for something else

anyways today i fitted new plates.

Only just seen this, but it's a Ferrari California fella....I always get that model confused with others tbh! lol

The 996 in yellow is a GT3 with the club sport package, the red one is a 996 turbo X50 and running stage 3 and the 360 is a CS also - so not 'just' a run of the mill 360.

Yeah they are all in a totally different league to my wee S3 - I often get reminded when we start discussing MPG after a good blast lol.

Replaced the old floppy rubber boost hose from the charge pipe to DV with a silicone black upgrade from Creation Motorsport. Also replaced the N75 hose with a silicone replacement because it came as part of the pack.

@Sam - car's looking sweet. Silver really does make the S3 look fresh even though the 8L is starting to show its age now.

Washed it for the first time in my ownership..

Had a fight with the boot trim trying to get to the wiper motor. The proceeded to rip the rest of the car apart trying to find why the rear washer doesn't work. No success yet.

Oh also ordered some new boot struts as they are cracked and loose pressure.

List of jobs to do getting longer already!!

I drove to Cardiff to go to a gig, which got cancelled stuck here for the night now! But got a few bits through the post today for the car, red powerflex dog bone bush, and new silicone coolant hoses because my old hoses are looking a bit tired. Just need the rain to bugger off so I can fit it all

Kind of 8L related, I guess.
Not 100% sure but its still a 1.8 20V engine and apparently its closely related to you guys and gals.

Spent the day cleaning and playing about with our new Seat Leon. :)

I've had my washer jet pipe come apart in the engine bay by the battery and behind the CD changer in boot.
Both very easy when you have the found the corresponding puddle of screen wash.

Attempted to fit a tip but its the wrong one, the oil breather and DV would have been rammed against the back and the maf wouldn't connect with it connected to the turbo :(

Found it! What a mare of a job! Tried to get the plastic panel off so I could take the sub out but stopped when I realised the rear quarter panel needs to come off too. Managed to get my hand in and low and behold...the pipe was disconnected!

reconnected it and put heat shrink over the joint to stop it from coming apart. Only thing I'm worried about is I couldn't get the sub out to make sure there's no puddle of water waiting to cause me a rust issue!! Suppose I should really pull the panels off totally, get the sub out and make sure it's bone dry!

Now to try and stop it leaking where it joins the motor...*sigh*

Yeah I had this too - I used some thin rubber house to join the pipe to the wiper motor spout. I then put two cable ties around the ends of the hose. They have been clamped on so tight that it will never leak again!

I identified my leak because it was coming out the bumper, so I assumed it was ok with no puddles :) I fixed it years ago, so far so good!

Got these made today thanks to my tall friend Charlie and what a good job he has done . They look great all I had to do was find the aluminum plate for him which had to be machine grade . The aluminum actually come from an aerospace engineering company free of charge . It was there waste and there is enough to make 4pairs . That means the old b5 is getting a ste aswell . I love them words ( free of charge ) before and after pics . IMAG0881.jpg 1392145011.jpg
