What have you done today?

Bought a new steering wheel, red stitching and alcantara hand grips. Looks better in the flesh!

linked work fine cheers for that. I might actually see if someone local can do it using my existing wheel hopefully that is cheaper. If you don't mind saying, how much did you pay?

if you find a local.... groups buy ;)

I've emptied all of the stuff out of my S3 in preparation for taking it in to px soon.

I've put my 17" Avus rims & winter tyres onto the Classifieds section of the forum.

I've started to come to terms with the impending separation. :worried:

Top tip..... read the description fully before buying anything :whistle2:

Whoops :)

I said something similar when i removed my airbag and realised haha. Needless to say the aero wipers and other bits didn't get fitted today lol. Nevermind.... the new extra horses will make up for it :racer:

Yeah thats the one :) the seller has been really good to be fair, i can either sell this one and he will knock 40% off the price of the other.
Still in negotiation with him as id rather send it back and pay abit more towards the other as i dont think anyone will want it.

I am sure they will want it... just don't want to pay the money for it lol...

Not today but over a couple of days.... Repaired some rust on arch - its not the best job as I no sprayer, but getting a full respray later this year as there are few marks which I want removing.

Looks pretty pro considering !!!

Don't you need to bake that or something?

Had a heater in the building, temp was around 20+ degrees. But left it there for a few hours. As said its not a pros job - up close there's a few imperfections but as stated going to get a better job done later on

Nice, even though I sold my 8L a while back I still keep coming back to these threads to have a nose

Got my car 4 wheel aligned (again) this time to my spec. Thanks to you guys for your suggestions. Then did a serious detailing on the outside.

Using two bucket method and about 7 microfibre clothes

Meguiars Ultimate Wash
Poorboys World Black Hole
Collinite No. 845 insulator wax (two coats)
Rain X

Not exactly today but... updated my panoramic head with stronger 'L' bracket and another rotating head to be able to do multilevel pano's

Bought a 300mm length of aluminium profile, same stuff thats used to make 3d printers... cut off a 100mm piece for the 'foot' and tapped the end of the remaining 200mm piece to M6...
IMAG1947

...so I could bolt the 'foot' to the upright..

Used rivnuts to allow it to be easily attached to the arca swiss rail..

...and put it all together...

Calibrated the lens for no-parallax point and went out as the night was clear to take the following shot... it is made from 8 shots, two rows of 4... final image was a resolution of 9,044 x 5,221 pixels....

Plasti-dipped my chrome grille surround the other day -

Amazing stuff!

Having just completed a 799 mile road trip of Scotland this weekend I treated it to a good clean. Boy it needed it!

Performed faultlessly, consumed Shell V Power at an average of 37MPG over the whole trip (R-Tech stage 1 mapped) and was generally quite a nice place to be. The MPG surprised me to be honest.

The door blades are away getting painted. I purchased brand new ones, and didn't see much change from £450 :puke2:

The alarm started sounding while unlocking the car so i gave it a scan and got this code,

01134 Alarm Horn H12 49-10 No communications - Intermittent

Time for a new siren as it still had the original fitted which was 14 years old.

Just sold the old s3, sorry to see her go but have a 2011 a5 sline 3ltr tdi to look forward do. forums been a great help over the years, but just moving a few pages away. may have some parts to sell when i clear out the garage. thanks to all espec Tuffty and Bill.

Nipped out in-between the rain to grab a few shots of a place up the road that looked rather nice whenever I drove past... sadly I missed the decent light so will have to return but grabbed a couple of shots anyway...

Broken left shift key on a MBP that i picked up... so replaced it along with a keyboard mod. Now it's right at home when playing with VCDS/tuning the S3.

Perfect!

Replaced engine mounts with vibratechnics units, seems 10 x better than my sponges Oem ones. Also heli-coiled one of the dog bone mount m10 holes as this was damaged. Now all lovely and tight brembo brakes to fit next week if weather is good
