What have you done to your A4 b6 today?

Oh and you cant see it in that pic but had a spare 'audi-sport.net' window sticker thats now on the rear window.!!
Wait, what? You have a b6??? The man who dislikes the b6? Ha. Looks good mate. I'm off to look back for more info on your car.

What's the deal with the b5? Still planning a BT

EDIT: just caught up on your build thread. Not on here much at the moment. I feared the worst and that you had abandoned the b5. Glad all is well mate. The b5 is looking ace! I'm planning on taking mine off the road and doing similar over the next year. Just need to sort moving house first.

Hahaha i like the cab version and maybe the avants not a fan of the saloon unless it has a kit on B5 still superior to the B6 though lol

No mate, I posted it up as I thought it may of been useful for some one wanting one, seems cheap

I love this wheel how much was it if you don't mind me asking. I'm looking for a new one at the minute the carbon isn't really me but the size and shape is perfect. Would this for the b6 straight bolt on?

It wasn't cheap lol
There nearly 2 grand new without airbag !
Needless to say I didn't pay that lol

I've also got the RS5 wheel I fitted before the carbon one , Same design, size & shape without the carbon
Yes it would fit on your b6, you'd just need to get the correct airbag and do loom adaption
( you'd need an airbag from a A3 8V ) as there single stage

Thanks for that mate I don't suppose you would want to sell that other one you don't use haha I've been thinking of sending my ordinal b6 wheel to royal steering wheels to have it made flat bottom and made fatter

Sorry mate I'm not selling it, keeping it to put it in the car when I sell it, I'll keep my carbon one for another car

I've heard great reports about Royal

But my opinion is that making one look like a flat bottom don't work, proportions seem all wrong

Yeh I some what feel the same mate I've often thought this but I just can't find the wheel I want without making one lol

The facelift s-line wheel is very similar to my RS5 wheel but it's only half perforated leather

Peeps..
Got this on today..
But I can't seem to catch a break with my mods. It does look well and it feels awesome to touch, nothing to do with that old, tired, worn leather but after coding doesn't work.
I checked the DTC'S and the common one showing up in different places is the sccm.
Gonna track a new one and try to tackle it before my holidays..

Cracked on with timing belt and water pump on the cab as there was no history to say it had been done and @ 105k i wasnt taking any chances also gave the car a good flush with some 50/50 diesel and oil mix as the oil was blacker than black then filled with oil and ran upto temp then drained and then swapped out the filter for the transporter one and some fresh 5w40 fully synthetic.

Front end off

Yes no damper in this kit, and you have to locate the tensioner locater in the recess of the cylinder head core plug. Belt was alittle tight going on and took 2 attempts to get it on with both the cam/crank lined up correctly as they did move slightly and theres 2 green markings on the conti tensioner you line up then when you turn over the engine then one green mark lines up with a notch on the washer plate of the tensioner.

The damper kits are easier to install but i prefer this setup as IE seem to sell alot of there manual tensioner kits and i will be going this route on my stroker build.

done a bit on the old girl again today, finally finished wiring in the headlamp wash. run the wire the same path as the cars loom. then taped the end at the power supply unit, to make it look stock. and finally third time lucky i have a radio that powers up. going to take it to my mate tomorow to get him to read the code for me.

Today I have done the cam belt + tensioner, hydraulic tensioner, water pump, cam cover gasket & front pads.
Would have done the rear pads but Pagid only put 3 pads in the box, so now I have to go exchange them .....

New Bilstein B4 rear shocks to replace the old bouncy originals at 150k.

Roll on the weekend so I can have some fun with the pinch bolts doing the front shocks and full control arm refresh. Blow torch here we come!

Hello everyone..
As you might already know from my previous posts I have fitted my mfsw all coded and plugged no problem.
The only thing is that it does nothing to my head unit.
Now the question I think I know the answer but I'm afraid to be right.
Does the mfsw only works with audi equipment?
Thanks in advance..

Another question fellas.. (not related)
I've been looking everywhere and some places says yes others say no..
I need someone who upgraded they're brakes to s4 to tell me if pads are the same between a4 and s4?
Thanks.

Got the wheels done again, having gone dark, I didn't like it so back to silver they went.

Sub box built today just need to design an amp rack & then do all the wiring + the other things from previous posts ....
Just noticed this!

What a great mod and idea to put it where you have. I've got a cabby and no doubt that is a central location to have a powerful speaker pumping through the skit hatch haha!

Super excited and pleased at the same time..

Got my s5 19x9 peelers on with 235/35/19's.

The 20'' reps have come off. They were the bane of my life. Wayyy to heavy for the car to support. I think around 6KG per corner.

Drives great now and back to enjoying the ride again.

Pictures and FULL details to follow on my build thread.

Not quite done today, but more or less finished the audio upgrades for the cab.....

Here's what went in ....
20160812 100441 HDR

Pioneer DEH-80PRS headunit the thing with the barcode is a 500 Gb hard drive which has been replaced with an ssd drive. Single din conversion finished in matt black plasti-dip.
20160814 194935 HDR

Hard drive interface is a sata to usb, epoxied in to place .....
20160807 085624 HDR

Quite surprised at how quick I got the interior out, think it was just over an hour ...
20160812 102646 HDR

Tweeter in stock mid range location, sounds pretty good.

Was going to mount the amps in the wheel well, but didn't have enough power cable :( ... So came up with this ...
20160814 112903 HDR

20160814 125134 HDR

Think it turned out pretty well for an on the spot fix
20160814 130256 HDR

All in place the box needs trimming, after some port & box tuning it sounds pretty ****** good for a single 10" & a set of 2 ways component speakers, the headunit handles the x-over points & time alignment & using WAV format instead of mp3 makes a hell of a difference to the sound . Am toying with the idea of building a different style box .

All in all I'm really happy with how it turned out, still have ample boot space for my needs ....@DrStrange if you fancy a demo some time, just let me know ....

Removed and cleaned the inlet manifold and EGR valve.

Back of the engine has been a greasy mess for ages due to a faulty seal from EGR to manifold.

Nice to finally get round to it.
