Ahh I'm well into my watches too :) I have a planet ocean as my dress watch (it's over 10 years old mind) and a Longines hydro conquest as my daily - both proper divers watches yet never seen a drop of water lol, the citizen gets all the action as I'm not bothered about bashing that one up. My only problem is my mrs knows exactly how much they cost! Watchfinder is very good for a bit of watch porn :) I get a rollocking when my mrs catches me on it - so it might as well be porn! My work are currently putting together a special/limited edition watch with our logo on it from Christopher Ward.

We should maybe start a watch thread? Seems like fast cars and watches go together for a lot of us....

I have a Casio G shock for work and a Rado diastar as my daily.

I then have a Tag Carrera CV2A10 calibre 16 and an Omega Seamaster for days when Im not doing anything dirty!

Finally, my pride and joy is my Panerai Luminor Marina.....she only comes out for very special occasions......

Oh, Im selling the Tag if anyones looking for one!!

Here's what I've been wearing recently, it's a kinda old not terribly expensive titanium dive watch.

Love my watch's as well, but has to be a fully manual to float my boat.

Currently wearing a German Damasko!!!...can't beat a bit of German engineering.

Have a business trip to Schaffheusen ( home to a couple of high end watchmakers) in Switzerland in a weeks time, would be interesting if it weren't for the strength of the Swiss Franc, but window shopping could be fun.

I wish I could get something personalized like that, but here in Spain you can't do almost anything to your car...
Even for the wheel spacers of just any change like the hashtray inside your car can lead you to a failed ITV (MOT in England)

I checked my oil and coolant levels, something according to some topics not too many of us do on a regular basis.

The light should never come on (unless caused by a sudden loss mechanical problem) as you should be aware of whats happening to your fluids. You'd all be miffed if there was no fuel gauge, just a light to tell you you;ve almost run out.

Every new car owner's worst nightmare.

Bad enough getting stone chips out on the road but sat on the driveway, or lets be honest more commonly from some careless sod in a supermarket car park just sucks!

Hope you get it sorted soon mate ;)

in my defence 50% of my journey is dual carriage & motorway... which inhibits your speed. The lanes however don't!

I shall try to do worse next week.

First wash in my ownership..

I took my car for a ride today: Foothill Expressway to Arastradero then up Page Mill to Skyline and back. Got caught behind a couple cars partway down Page Mill but the whole way up was wonderfully unobstructed.

I'm still getting used to the DSG and paddles vs knob shifters.

I was stymied wanting to change gears while the wheel was cranked way over in a turn. I've been getting used to the paddles to call on shifts since its just a simple click, but that didn't work out so well with the wheel cranked. I wanted to downshift because I was in too tall a gear and the road was tilting up thru the turn I was in. I thought to use the paddle because that's what I've been using for on demand changes... but the paddle was not where it usually is. I haven't been using the stick so knocking it over to manual and pulling it down isn't a muscle memory kind of action. A third option that could have worked was to pull the stick down to switch from D to S mode, and then to rely on S mode to drop it down. Too many options really, first you have to pick which option and then execute. I picked the wrong option (paddles) and blew it. The DSG did it for me as I was coming out of the turn.

I'm impressed with the DSG, but I do miss my manual.
