I've got a 2010 S3 Sportback that runs a Milltek un-resonated turbo back system along with an APR Stage 2+ setup. My wife finds it a little loud these days now we have a baby girl and I'd like to get something thats a little quieter. Some of the welds on my exhaust are not looking 100% so I'm thinking about replacing the whole system.

Given a choice what would you guys install into your cars, is Milltek still the preferred option?

The other option is having an exhaust specialist fit a resonator and re-weld where necessary. I'm not totally averse to that.

for cost effectiveness re-weld and get a resonator section fitted, milltek or other

if your feeling flush and want the best get a SuperSprint system fitted... but they aint cheap!

Mine's a sort of *******ised resonated Milltek,as it's been cut etc to fit an ATP turbo kit onto it,but the resonated pipe is reasonably quiet as a stock item, and I've been happy with the quality of the product, especially as it's still going, and coping with somewhere over 500bhp.
Scorpion are a good alternative.

Thanks for the feedback guys will go down the route of having a resonator fitted and seeing what kind of refurb my local exhaust specialist can do for me. Would love a supersprint but yeah they aint cheap!

Im running Pipeworxs custom TBE. They will make it as loud/quiet as you like. Mine is OEM quiet until you floor it.

Sounds a bit like mine.....it's pretty quiet knocking around town, but AMD have said it's one of the loudest they've had at full bore, but I expect that's down to it being cut around to accept the BT kit,as I'd mentioned earlier.
If the OP can find,or has a good exhaust specialist who can make up a resonated section then that will almost certainly be the cheapest option, although it may still be worth dropping Milltek a line or calling them for a price.
