There's been a few 'turfed' cars around over the years. A local landscaper to me had his van turfed for a couple of years but of course the suspension took a hammering and fuel consumption took a big hit. He used to leave it on the road for advertising purposes and it did smell awful, yep the cats took a liking to it.
I would imagine there will be a few more artificial turfed cars around in the future.
