Looking at buying some sort of code reader / reset tool that can do a few things as I'm always swapping an changing my vags
And always end up getting a light on the dash

...airbag light came on on my 2006 a4 by removing the glove box to repair a faulty hinge

... My a3 had the air bag light on when i got it

...other day i hit a big! pot hole now the steering wheel light came on along with the abs light and the esp also bent my track rod!!

dose anyone no a cheepish kit that can do most of the following

*airbag lights
*esp
*steering position sensor
*abs
*mileage correction
*engine management

any help will be very much appreciated :)

Vagcom (VCDS) is the favourite especially if you are going to get plenty of use out of it,contact NHN

Cheers mate ,i don't suppose that it would code the drl's bi-xenons ?

You can do what you like but they are junk and not many people on here will help you with a copy version. Get a proper one.

Get VCDS and if you don't fancy shelling out that much money to buy one, get someone who has got it to do the coding etc. It does pay for itself in the long run though, used mine hundreds of times which would have cost me quite a bit if I kept taking it to a garage.

No point in messing around with crappy cheapo ones.
