Interesting to see what cars everyone has had in in their driving days.
This was my first little car! Got it when I was 17 and then it fell apart half way through my 1st year at uni! So had to get something to drive around in, so got the A3. Original plan was to get a GTi after uni but that's not happening now.
Got this when I was 17,
Seat Ibiza Cupra PD160
Well my S3 replaced my A3
which replaced my fiesta ZS
I had a nissan almera 1.5 with a full retrim and sound install (had a alpine f1 status headunit and processor), I was really into my sounds before, im gonna take it easy with the s3 lol
my current car which will be replaced by an A3
thats a nice looking mk5
My A3 replaced by petrol hungry stage 2 Beetle Turbo
Without a doubt the best car i ever had and streets ahead of my A3. Every conceivable extra as std including Brembo's . sadly missed .......
Not picture of my actual cars, but these are some of the highlights, the rest were boring
Still miss her, a bit. Quite a lot of fun those GTi's.
I now have this (being a family man!):
This was my last car...
...which replaced this (amongst others):
The Audi is a great car to own and use now that I have different requirements, but it's not a patch on the handling, noise and looks of this lot!
..What the fudge-sicle is that???
Fiat Coupe, ain't it?!?
Never seen one with it's bonnet open though. Weeiirddd.
My 206 GTi 180 ...
Currently awaiting March delivery of fully loaded Ibis S3 SB BE with buckets and rns-e, etc.
Previous cars below.
Do you live in a castle?
Love the gti 180's!! Great little cars. Used to work at the ryton plant in my summer hols!!
I have just bought my A3 today! This is my first post to show what has come before it...
My last few cars starting with the most recent before the S3
then the 3.2 A3 as we have a baby so need 5 doors (Maserati Gransport is next on my shopping list though)
Yes - Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo. This was the second of two I owned, running in excess of 325bhp courtesy of some extensive modifications by the previous owner. Low weight too.
Even the standard car was incredibly rapid: 0-100 in 14 secs. I never had the modified car timed, but it was definitely in Audi RS territory once on the move.
Do you guys get these new A3/S3's on finance or are you all rich?
lovely Zed.. was gonna get one but too impractical for me, wana get the coupe next though
Got tired of driving a truck!
my A3 replaced these 2 fuel eaters. STI=320BHP, PUG 205 cti =2L16V 175BHP
But like the 55mpg of my A3
Last car was a 330cd
Before that another 3.2!
And before that a Cupra R
And before that an Accord type R

Cant post pictures as haven't got any here, but my S3 replaces an S4 cabriolet with Full Milltek non res system which i adored, which replaced a Porsche Boxter which i also loved to bits!
this was my baby before i got the s3! absolutely loved this car! especially the colour, never showed scratches! just looked wet all the time! not to mention it was f***in fast! and handled pretty well!
to my great upset the guy i sold it too (he lived round the corner from me) has just got rid of it, so i can no longer go and check on it to look and reminisce
It was fully loaded but with half leather (wish i done this on s3)
full aero kit

Alot of nice cars there and bikes i may add, thats some value of bikes you have owned Paddy.
Seems to be alot of young guys in S3's these days.
The 750 SS and the blue/silver 900SS went for £65,000 and £20,000 respectively recently. all the bikes were restored by me and there we a few others as well but i dont want to bore people,
I am going to put a post on the general thread about the restoration of the NCR race bike soon.
Thats impressive, good work
Get it posted up would be interested to see that.
Here ya go...
