some of it could be pushed out but its near the bend on the panel so I kno wthese can be hard to do. Some body shops would just fill it and spray it in.

sorry not much help ... never delt with dent masters but they may be worth a go ???/

nice advert for FHM btw :)

Doubt dentmasters could do it as it's on the edge of the panel i.e. the really strong part. You can't get to that part of the panel from inside either as it's double skinned. Best bet would be a fill and respray the tailgate/boot.
I've got the same problem on our A4 Avant on the rear wheelarch. Audi bodyshop wanted £680 to do the job!!! I may just have a go myself as I really don't need a superb job.

I would contact 'dent masters' ( or equivalent ) who have managed over the years to remove some nasty dents from my cars at reasonable cost.If they cannot repair the dent they will tell you upfront

Sorry ARCHIE, only just saw your post.
I'm in the south east, about 20 mins away from Guildford if you know where that is.

Silly question, but how did it get there? Its an odd place and with no scrtatch! Was it done whilst shutting the boot with a pressed hand?

Dentmasters charge anything between £50-£120, but I doubt they'd be able to do it as you can't get to that area from behind and it's a very strong part of the panel.

Your right £50-£120 if its through the books ;-)

I'm paying £25 a panel to my local guy, outta the books lol

It is a tricky area, but once the guy has seen it, he will tell you there and then how it can be fixed.

I've got one email quote for 75 quid for my car...although they did say they needed to check the status of my roof in order to fix it! That made me lol!
