    Bought a flat bottom wheel with the part number 8J0 419 091 H

    What airbags will fit this wheel and my A3 55 sportback?

    Part numbers if known will help a lot!

    The wheel you have bought is tiptronic and multi function. Even if your existing wheel is the same but not flat bottomed the airbag is different. There is no guarantee the lengths in the wiring loom are the same as the existing.

    It's up to you but I gave the information in case you didn't know !

    there is probably a guide somewhere on here if you do a search. just remember to tape down the slip ring to make it easier for you to align the wheel when it goes back on.

    As for coding, i assume you have VAGCOM?

    tape down? You shouldn't need to touch the slip ring as you take one wheel off and just replace it with the other... Just make sure the mark in the middle lines up again to the slip ring

    Bit confused by this coding,

    Coding

    00?xxxx: Transmission
    0 = Manual Transmission
    1 = Automatic Transmission
    00x?xxx: Steering Wheel
    0 = 3-Spoke, w/o Tiptronic, w/o Multi-Function
    1 = 3-Spoke, with Tiptronic, w/o Multi-Function
    2 = 4-Spoke Multi-Function (with Radio Control)
    3 = 4-Spoke Multi-Function (with Radio/Telephone Control)
    4 = 4-Spoke Multi-Function (with Radio/Telephone/Voice Control)
    00xx?xx: Tiptronic/Heating
    +1 = Tiptronic on Steering Wheel
    00xxx?x: Cruise Control/Board Computer
    0 = no Board Computer, no Cruise Control
    1 = Board Computer, no Cruise Control
    2 = no Board Computer, Cruise Control
    4 = Board Computer, Cruise Control
    00xxxx?: Rear Wiper
    0 = w/o Rear Wiper
    1 = with Rear Wiper

    I have DSG and a 3 spoke flat bottom wheel going in with mf buttons?

    You have to fit the wheel/airbag before you try and code. You will then see more options.

    Just read that, on the rear of the airbag there is 2 plugs green and orange, and 2 clips that go onto the airbag I'm guessing maybe earths? And a smaller one at the bottom? Could I of put the bigger metal clips on wrong way round?

    Sorted now, I hadn't pushed down one if the yellow clips on one of the igniters, I thought that just locked it in place, glad it's over was annoying me seeing lights on dash
